Some Frequently Asked Questions

If God really loves me why didn’t he stop my abuser from abusing me?

That is a question I asked myself so many times. Every single person who has been a victim could ask the same question. God if you loved me why did you let that person rob me? God if you loved me why did you let that person torture me? God if loved me why did you let that person murder my parents? If God stopped every act of evil, we would be a race of robots, we would be like dolls that a child plays make believe with. God has given each of us the gift of free choice regarding our behavior. We choose to do good and we choose to do bad.

However that doesn’t mean that we won’t face consequences of our choices. If we choose to do evil and never come to repentance we will spend our eternal lives in eternal torment. If we choose to repent of our sin and to accept Christ Jesus as our Savior, we will spend our eternal lives in heaven. In heaven we will be the people we were created to be before sin and evil scarred us. There will be no sorrow or shame there. We will be joyful. We will not carry the pain of our abuse forever. We will feel clean, whole and pure.

One day when I was a child I was alone in my room, weeping because of the abusive situation I was trapped in. I asked God to help me and I opened my bible and found this scripture. This scripture comes right after Jesus had taken a child on his knee and blessed the child. This is what He said to the crowd, “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” ( Matthew 18:6) I knew at that point what God’s opinion was of people who hurt children. I knew what the destiny was for the one abusing me unless he repented of his evil.

Are questions and prayer requests confidential?

Yes, all questions and prayer requests are treated with the same ministerial ethics that one would expect in a face to face relationship with a minister.

I want to have faith but somehow I always doubt. How can I get the faith to believe?

Faith comes from God. You already have some faith or you wouldn’t be reaching out to Him. To increase your faith you must be exposed to the Word of God, also called scripture or the Bible. You can do that by reading the Bible and going to a place which will teach you about the bible. As you read and hear the scriptures your faith will grow, bit by bit.

The scripture says: Faith comes by hearing , and hearing by the word of God.
